Small bag of dried manure

Small bag of dried manure has at least 8 oz.

Horse Manure is a popular addition to home gardens as a source of nutrients and a fertilizer for plants, as well as an organic soil amendment.

Horse Manure contains Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Calcium and Magnesium, though it can contain some weed seeds as well. For most gardens, the slow release of nitrogen is important for soil improvement and healthy plants.

Uses:

  • Place dried manure in a container; add water and cover to ‘steep’ around 3 days, stir occasionally. When a rich tea color, water indoor plants or garden. The rule of thumb is 1 part manure to 5 parts water.
  • Place manure under shrubbery, rose bushes, finished vegetable beds and let it break down slowly as you water.
PLEASE NOTE - manure should not be used around vegetables within two months of harvest.
  • Compost! Re-hydrate dried manure and add to your composting bin to give your worms a treat!

All manure has been collected from our two horses which are fed a high-quality grain, Orchard Grass and Timothy Hay. Dried Manure may contain some hay, a few stones or pieces of gravel. BE SURE TO WASH HANDS THOROUGHLY AFTER HANDLING MANURE.
